Pisang Island, located in North Maluku, Indonesia, is an emerging destination for diving enthusiasts seeking untouched underwater beauty. The island is a short 20-minute boat ride from Banda Neira and offers a spectacular underwater landscape.

The dive sites feature colorful coral reefs home to an array of marine life, including Butterflyfish, Surgeonfish, Triggerfish, Parrotfish, and Angelfish. The island's reefs are known for their spawning grounds and the reef slopes that end in walls descending 25-50 meters, adorned with Gorgonians, sponges, and anemones.

For non-divers, Pisang Island offers pristine white sandy beaches and lush tropical forests perfect for exploration and relaxation. Snorkeling is also a fantastic option, with many shallow reefs teeming with life just a short swim from the shore. Getting there: The best way to reach Pisang Island is by liveaboard, ensuring you access the most remote and pristine dive sites. Alternatively, you can fly to Ambon and take a boat from there.

Best time to visit Pisang Island: The ideal time for diving is from September to early December and March to April when water temperatures range from 20°C to 27°C (68°F to 81°F), and visibility is at its best.

Diving Conditions: Expect water depths from 5 to 50 meters (16 to 164 feet), with moderate currents, making it suitable for all diving levels. Strong currents are typically found at the northern and southern tips of the island.
